July 5, Annual Firecracker Jubilee Mountainair's longest running
event, this year the Saturday after the
fourth instead of the usual "Saturday before the 4th." Jubilee
is an old-fashioned, small town
Independence Day celebration:
morning parade open to anyone and everything that rides, drives, walks
or rolls. Prizes for entries. The parade ends at the Mountainair
Activity Center (former Campgrounds), followed by a day of fun with
BBQ, all kinds of food and beverages, games, live music, crafts,
vendors, a funday pet show and more, with the traditional Fireworks at
dusk followed by dancing through the night. For more details, download/

of the Dr. Saul Recreation Center (site of proposed Mountainair Town
Square). Bring your own chairs, blankets, and food to enjoy free
entertainment (In the event of rain, the event will be moved inside the
community center). Music by The Paul Kayser band (featuring traditional
American, suitable for dancing in the street. Concert
series presented by Manzano
